The Bungalow on Shine
Downtown - Orlando, Florida
CDI was commissioned to provide entire home decor and branding for a fully renovated property to be used for an Airbnb investment.
Client previously owned a hunter green sofa which she designated for the living room and wanted a design that featured shades of green throughout the property. CDI designed three bedrooms, the Sun Room; the Moon Room; and the Earth Room, designated a dining space, and 2nd floor common area (using client's existing furniture).
The client's priority was to make a lasting impression with potential guests while keeping investment dollars to a minimum.
The Great Room at
Hurston Manor
Historic Shipoke - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
CDI was commissioned by the Young Professionals of Color - Greater Harrisburg to design the great room of their historic property, Hurston Manor, named for Zora Neale Hurston. The home is intended to serve as the organization's main hub. The client asked for a great room that was multi-functional; it needed to be used for meetings and transform to accommodate a variety of social gatherings and event options.
Our client requested an old-world Caribbean vibe filtered through a mid-century modern lense, and ultimately desired a space that felt like home and reflected the culture of their organization.

Each project starts with a design concept which is the visualization of the initial design plan.
Concept boards are created specifically with each client's design goals and budgets in mind.
Although they are not drawn to scale, they provide a great predictor for the overall feel of the space.
